We are the
York County
Democratic Party
South Carolina
And you are, too.*
Our goal is to elect Democratic candidates in York County, the State of South Carolina, and the United States. To do that, we want to make it easy for you to vote. And to want to vote.
As elections approach, we will show you how to register to vote, review the documentation you need in order to vote, provide details on early voting, both by mail and in person, and detail election day polling places.
It’s all here on our Voting in York County page.

We will introduce you to candidates, here on the web site, and in our YouTube shows and podcasts.
We also have a Facebook Group where you can participate directly, meet people and learn more about what’s going on. (Note that we’ve suspended the Events and Calendar page - it was to difficult to keep them current)
Finally, yes, we’re going to ask you for money 💰. It takes a little money to keep the wheels turning in the county party. Contribute here💲
You may have noticed that we haven’t discussed issues or platforms. We leave that up to our elected officials and candidates. And you’ll hear some of that on our YouTube shows and podcasts.
*and you are, too?
Sure, if you want to be.
In South Carolina you don’t declare party affiliation when you register to vote. If your politics run from center to far left… if you call yourself ‘progressive’… if the other party left you… you’re welcome here. We don’t endorse or condone violence – actual or threatened – but otherwise we welcome discussion of all opinions. Nobody’s a ‘DINO’ here.
If you’re looking for a membership form, there isn’t one. You can sign up to get our email newsletter. You can join the Facebook group. You can subscribe to the YouTube videos and podcasts. If you want to be in… you already are. So welcome!
