YCDP 2026 Convention

10 AM Saturday,
March 14, 2026

Union Baptist Church
1195 Hands Mill Hwy
Rock Hill, SC 29732
(Newport)

The 2026 YCDP Convention will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, March 14, at the Union Baptist Church in Newport (Rock Hill address).

Come meet your YCDP leaders, and hear from many of the Candidates running in 2026.

No party elections this year

SCDP Rules have aligned county conventions and elections for all SC counties. They say that county parties will have conventions every year, with officer elections in odd number years (so not this year). Our current officers will serve until the 2027 Convention.

PRECINCT Representatives on the Executive Committee

We will have time for Precinct meetings again this year.

The County Democratic Parties are governed by the County Executive Committee made up of one member from every precinct (the Precinct President). Interested in serving as a Precinct President? There are 100 Precincts in York County, many do not yet have a President. You’ll have a chance to volunteer at the Convention.

Resolutions

Resolutions are an important part of our Convention process - your chance to bring issues before the County and State Parties.

To submit a Resolution, download this pdf form, complete it, and either print it out and bring it to the Convention, or submit it to our email address (see the bottom of this page). We would like to receive Resolutions in advance if possible.

Resolutions submitted to the YCDP County Convention are read in full unless the convention unanimously votes to hear only the topic of like resolutions. For example: ban assault rifles.

After our convention we send all the Resolutions to the SCDP for the committee to combine and approve, and be read at the SCDP state convention.

The 2024 and 2025 Conventions are preserved on our YouTube Channel and our audio podcast. If you missed them, you can relive them (with better sound👂🏻🔊 - yeah, it’s kind of hard to hear from the floor sometimes))
