The Convention was held on Saturday, March 14, at the Union Baptist Church in Newport (Rock Hill address).
We met our YCDP leaders, and heard from many of the Candidatesrunning in 2026. Including new candidates announcing for the first time.
No party elections this year
SCDP Rules have aligned county conventions and elections for all SC counties. They say that county parties will have conventions every year, with officer elections in odd number years (so not this year). Our current officers will serve until the 2027 Convention.
PRECINCT Representatives on the Executive Committee
The Convention had a table to recruit Precinct Presidents. There are 100 precincts in York County, and many still do not have a President.
Resolutions
Only one Resolution was submitted, a call for a civil election process. it passed.
