All of York County is included in US House District 5. This was up in the air during the Republican’s last-minute push for mid-cycle redistricting in the middle of early voting in May, 2026, but that effort failed (spectacularly) on May 26, the first day of early voting. The District 5 incumbent is Republican Ralph Norman, who has declared his run for Governor in 2026 and is vacating the seat.
Republican Wes Climer, currently a State Senator from District 15 (central York county), is now running for the House seat in the Republican party. He is unopposed, so gets to skip the June 9 Primary and proceed directly to the November 3 General Election (and he will collect far more than $200 🎩). Andy Kaplan is also running from the Forward Party.
